Prabhakar Patil Education Society (PPES)

As an independent education institution, PPES has been a self-funded organisation and has on its own constructed schools, colleges and many other higher education institutions. Though, we are successfully operating many institutions in Raigad District, we have found that there is scope for more schools and colleges in the remote interiors of the rural areas. But the real challenge for these students is to reach the schools. As these students come from different parts of remote interiors of Raigad, these students have to rely on state transport, which is not very punctual. These children take hours to reach from home to school and back. Sometimes it's the scorching summer heat, sometimes it's the heavy rain and sometimes its chilly cold. These students brave all these weather conditions to come to school. Just imagine if there was a school bus which would pick them up from home and drop them back. It would give them so much joy and a big smile on their face. That is why we have named this program as “Donate A Magic School Bus”, which for these children will be like Alladin’s flying carpet, which will whisk them from their homes and in no time they will be in school, safe and sound.
